Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, England
Salary: £41,000 – £53,000 ( Estimate)
Hours: 35 per week

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Business Analyst to join the Business Systems team, focusing on the deployment and development of IFS across the group companies.

You will conduct process reviews, document requirements, analyse data, and help formulate solutions to business challenges. This role also involves stakeholder engagement, delivering training, and supporting projects that create measurable benefits across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse existing business processes, document findings, and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct research to identify solutions and efficiencies.
  • Lead workshops and deliver training sessions.
  • Estimate project timeframes, resources, and costs.
  • Evaluate project risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, users, and technical teams.
  • Analyse data and produce reports and business models.
  • Communicate insights orally, visually, and in writing.
  • Support the development of technology solutions that deliver business benefits.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Degree-qualified (STEM, Business, Computing, Economics, or related numeracy field), or at least 1 year of experience in business analysis/project management.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems architecture, development methodologies, and analytical tools.
  • Ability to break down problems and create practical solutions.
  • Skilled in producing project definitions, schedules, and milestones.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Logical thinker with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Willingness to undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.
