Job Overview
Better Home Ideas is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our innovative content team. In this role, you will transform raw footage into engaging visual stories that inspire and connect with audiences across multiple digital platforms. This is a paid, full-time remote opportunity to collaborate with a talented team committed to producing high-quality, impactful content.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished videos using industry-standard software
- Enhance videos with motion graphics, visual effects, and color correction
- Incorporate sound design, music, and voiceovers to create immersive content
- Collaborate with content creators, videographers, and designers to ensure brand consistency
- Manage video assets using content management systems and FTP protocols
- Perform photo editing, photo manipulation, and graphic design tasks as needed
- Ensure all videos meet platform-specific technical requirements and quality standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge, Lightroom)
- Experience with Final Cut Pro and Avid Media Composer
- Strong post-production skills (color grading, sound editing, motion graphics, visual effects)
- Knowledge of videography, filming techniques, and photography principles
- Experience with 3D animation tools such as Cinema 4D or Maya
- Familiarity with FTP workflows and content management systems
- Strong attention to detail in visual design, typography, and storytelling
