About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Clerk to join the team at Glan Clwyd Hospital. The successful candidate will provide efficient and comprehensive clerical support to ensure the smooth running of the ward, helping deliver high-quality care to patients and assisting nursing staff.
There are two positions available:
- 22.5 hours: Monday, Wednesday & Friday (07:30–15:30)
- 22.5 hours: Wednesday to Friday (07:30–15:30)
Main Duties
- Act as the first point of contact for patients, relatives, and visitors.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the ward team.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Handle telephone and in-person enquiries courteously and efficiently.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Criteria:
- Good standard of education (Maths/English GCSE or equivalent).
- Professional communication and IT skills.
- Welsh language – minimum Level 3 (essential).
Desirable Criteria:
- NVQ 2 in Administration or Customer Service.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or ward setting.
- Knowledge of the Patient Administration System (WPAS) – training provided.
